Read “Cradle to the Grave” Now in Carnage House!

I’m both proud and grateful to have my new story, “Cradle to the Grave” in the new issue of Carnage House. The team at Carnage House has been so generous with their time and energy to make this issue–and my story within it–as wonderfully horrific as possible. When they say this is their passion, they mean it to the rotten, wrathful (and also incredibly kind) core.

“Cradle to the Grave” is my first published story to leave behind vengeful spirits, haunted dolls, and fae folk to delve into raw human evil. It was unsettling to write, and we’ve worked hard to make it equally chilling to read.

It might seem like a platitude to say that every story has been a learning experience, but “Cradle” took me to school in more ways than I could have imagined. The first question it answered was, “Can I go that dark?”

It may be fun, on another day, to get into some of the other history of this story, and the many bumps it encountered along the road to publication. For now, I’ll leave you to explore my darkest, goriest story to date.

As the masthead at Carnage House reads: This is your trigger warning.
