It’s happening!
Caleb J. Pecue over at Terrorcore updated their website, and you can preorder the Dolls in the Attic hardcover, shipping in late March! It’ll show up in paperback and on Audible later this year, but my understanding is that the hardcover is the only way to get the gorgeous wraparound cover you see at the top of the page. (And I was paid for a story, not to cheer for the cover art–the cover gets its cheers gratis.)
At the risk of becoming redundant, I’m excited beyond measure to have my story, “Bitter Water,” among these wickedly cool and creepy stories. Every minute working with Caleb J. Pecue and the rest of the team at Terrorcore has been a pleasure. This anthology feels like a labor of love from everyone involved. Creepy, dysfunctional, even murderous love. . .but love all the same.
Dolls in the Attic takes the concept of the themed anthology to a new level, with a prelude, interlude, and postlude around the character of Lady Adelaide Rosemary Hawthorne, collector of dolls. The early stories (like mine!) show Lady Hawthorne’s haunted dolls entering her collection, while latter tales focus on the time after Lady Hawthorne’s passing, when her family auctions off her collection and releases the dolls upon the world.
Looking forward to next month!
